Abstract

Image-guided percutaneous needle biopsy has emerged as a safe, effective, and accurate tool for the diagnosis and subsequent treatment of musculoskeletal lesions. In this chapter, we will overview the significance, indications, techniques, and outcomes of such procedures, with emphasis on percutaneous biopsies performed under computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging guidance.
