Abstract

Rabbits were vaccinated intradermally with BCG and revaccinated 6 weeks later subcutaneously. Oil-induced macrophages (MN) were collected from the peritoneal cavities and alveolar macrophages were collected from the lungs. The MN were cultured for 2 days with and without heat-killed tubercle bacilli. Assays for proteases, lipase, esterase, lysozyme and acid phosphatase were performed.
