Abstract
An unusual case of complete regression of pulmonary metastases of medullary carcinoma of the thyroid after oral administration of thyroid extract is presented. The patient has remained free of disease for three and a half years. This treatment has few side effects and may be as effective as is the administration of radioactive iodine or external radiation. For these reasons, it should be tried despite adverse pathologic indications.
