N2 - Environmental control is one of the major goals of asthma management. House dust mite environmental control and the reduction of other indoor environmental allergen triggers, such as animal dander, cockroaches, and mold spores, are important for individuals with asthma. Patients who have sensitivities to the allergens they produce should receive advice on environmental control reduction measures to prevent asthma symptoms. Nurses are in a key position to make proper environmental control recommendations to patients.
