Abstract

Proinflammatory macrophage activation is coupled to a metabolic switch toward glycolysis. In Cell Metabolism, Jin etal. (2014) show that this process is negatively regulated by mitochondrial electron transport chain complex I through both cell intrinsic and extrinsic pathways.
