Abstract

This paper reports a nanopore sensing method to detect low concentrations of microRNAs (miRNAs) using DNA computing technology. Circulating miRNAs have been proposed as biomarkers for cancer diagnosis. Based on DNA computing technology and nanopore sensing, we demonstrated femtomolar miRNA detection. We succeeded to detect miRNAs quantitatively ranging from 0.5 fM to 200 fM. This method has a promising potential for applications in detecting miRNA for cancer diagnosis.
