Abstract

Six patients with a moderate, non-progressive, neural hearing loss, in three sibships are described. Hearing loss was first noted in each case in infancy or early childhood. Repeated audiometric tests in each case have failed to reveal any progression of the hearing loss. Physical and neurological examinations as well as vestibular tests were normal. The disease is transmitted as an autosomal recessive and is heretofore undescribed in the literature.
