Abstract
Evaluation of sensation in the hand following nerve injury, when based upon the neurophysiological property of adaptation and the differential sensitivity of subgroups of the sensory fibers to vibratory stimuli of various frequencies, demonstrates a definite pattern of sensory recovery. Therapeutic implications of this pattern of sensory recovery are suggested. A series of 19 cases is presented.
