N2 - (Neuron 111, 1205–1221.e1–e9; April 19, 2023) While checking the original manuscript before its online publication, we found that a different version of the human reference genome was inadvertently used for the bioinformatic analysis related to the supplementary information Figures S3E and S3F and Table S2. Under the Results section subheading “Increased DAXX dysregulates genome-wide gene expression in C9HRE cells,” the correct statement should be as follows: “Compared with isogenic control iMNs, we identified ∼2,000 genes that were downregulated in C9HRE iMNs. When DAXX was partially knocked down in the C9HRE iMNs, the expression of a fraction of the downregulated genes (358 out of ∼2,000 genes) was restored (Figure S3E; Table S2), indicating that DAXX globally suppresses gene transcription in C9HRE iMNs. By analyzing the ATAC-seq data of the 358 DAXX-regulated genes, we identified 141 genes that exhibited reduced chromatin accessibility and no genes with increased chromatin accessibility in the C9HRE iMNs (Figure S3F).” The corresponding supplemental information Figures S3E and S3F and Table S2 have been corrected. Under the STAR Methods section subheading “ATAC-seq,” the “<” sign and the reference genome version number were mistyped, and the correct statements should be as follows: “…adapters were removed using Cutadapt and only reads over 20 bp were retained for analysis” and “The trimmed reads were sequentially mapped to the human reference genome (hg19 version) using Bowtie in an end-to-end model.” These corrections do not alter the conclusion of the study and have been updated online. The authors apologize for the error.
