Abstract
Recent data from human genetics, various flavors of animal models, and molecular pharmacology studies implicate disturbances of cyclic nucleotide signaling in neuropsychiatric disorders. This chapter highlights the role of the cAMP phosphodiesterase PDE4 in the pathophysiology of three major neuropsychiatric disorders: schizophrenia, depression, and Huntington's disease.
