Abstract

Exercise thallium scintigraphy is preferable to exercise electrocardiography alone when the resting electrocardiogram (ECG) shows a nonspecific abnormality impairing ECG interpretation, or when information on the probable reversibility of apparently infarcted segments will help in deciding whether to revascularize.
