Abstract

A size-sensitive microscopic technique to analyze dynamic alternations in organelle morphology during cell injury is presented. The method referred to as Ratiometric Dark-Field Microscopy consists of combining spatial filtering with central dark-field microscopy to produce images that encode morphometric data not directly accessible by other light microscopic techniques.
