Abstract
Women may present with conditions unrelated to intimate partner violence (IPV), so it is important to screen every woman who comes to your ED. • Computerized screening identifies more patients reporting IPV than a personal interview. • Patients may prefer anonymity. • Simple interventions include social work referrals and pocket-sized cards.
