Abstract
Batteries of tests performed 'routinely' in patients with known or suspected myocardial infarction are not cost-effective. The important thing is to establish acutely - using simple, less expensive approaches - whether the patient is having myocardial ischemia and to manage the evolving events appropriately. SGOT determinations have no useful role in diagnosis.
