Detecting and treating subcutaneous endometriosis

Abstract

When a patient presents with abdominal and pelvic pain, consider the possibility of endometriosis in the scars left by previous procedures. Case studies suggest that this type of endometriosis does not respond to medical treatment but can be corrected with surgery.
