Dermatomyositis complicating pregnancy

There is a paucity of information on the clinical course of dermatomyositis during pregnancy. This report describes a primigravida who developed dermatomyositis de novo during the first trimester. The disease progressed rapidly; a partial remission has occurred since delivery.
