Abstract

The activity in two assay systems of guanine nucleotide regulatory protein was significantly lower in red cells from pseudohypoparathyroid patients compared to that of normal subjects. The results support the hypothesis that deficient activity of the guanine nucleotide regulatory protein is the molecular basis for hormone resistance in this inherited disorder.
