title = "Critical role of Syk-dependent STAT1 activation in innate antiviral immunity",
abstract = "Liu et al. describe a role of Syk-dependent STAT1 activation in innate antiviral immunity. Initial activation of STAT1 during IAV infection is regulated by RIG-I/MAVS/Syk signaling. Additionally, STAT1 Tyr-701 is a critical residue for the antiviral response. Conditional Syk knockout and STAT1 Y701F knockin mouse models corroborate these findings.",
