N2 - The authors regret errors in the following section: In the original manuscript, figures in the following paragraph. “In recent years, a large decrease in the number of new HIV infections was observed, with an estimated 22,000 new infections in 2019, compared to over 31,000 in 2010. The number of people receiving antiretroviral therapy rose from 38,000 in 2010 to over 250,000 in 2020, contributing to 44% reductions in AIDS-related deaths (Fig. 2).” Referred to the most recent report delivered by the Vice Health Minister during a recent workshop at the MOH on this topic, which can be accessed here: https://moh.gov.vn/tin-noi-bat/-/asset_publisher/3Yst7YhbkA5j/content/hoi-nghi-tong-ket-10-nam-thuc-hien-e-an-am-bao-tai-chinh-cho-cac-hoat-ong-phong-chong-hiv-aids-tai-viet-nam. However, the authors would like to update the epidemiological statistics to ensure consistency with the graphs while not altering the content and key messages of the commentary. The updated figures are: “In recent years, a large decrease in the number of new HIV infections was observed, with an estimated 6600 new infections in 2022, compared to over 13,000 in 2012. The number of people receiving antiretroviral therapy rose to over 160,000 in 2022, contributing to 44% reductions in AIDS-related deaths (Figure 2).” The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
