The coronary perfusion pattern in the left ventricular (LV) wall is directly affected by the process of cardiac contraction and is mediated mainly via the intramural pressure which known, declines from its highest value at the endocardium to close to the pericardial pressure at the epicardium. A model of the coronary flow is related to the cardiac mechanics and presents a qualitative and quantitative tool for realistic description of the coronary circulation.
