Abstract

In those with suspected coronary artery disease (CAD) and a calcium score of <600, 64-slice multi-detector computed tomography angiography (MDCTA) was able to detect the presence of significant >50% coronary artery stenosis with 85% sensitivity, and identify those patients likely to be referred for revascularization when compared with quantitative conventional coronary angiography (QCA). Diagnostic performance of MDCTA on a per-patient basis was better than on a per-vessel basis.
