Abstract
Management of patients with these sarcomas is changing from reliance on radical surgery to increasing use of conservative surgery combined with radiotherapy and chemotherapy. The most promising results of combined-modality therapy are being achieved in patients with high-grade sarcomas of the limbs, who might otherwise have required amputation.
