Abstract

In this presentation are included 20 cases in which esophago gastrectomy was performed. Although it is technically feasible, this procedure is not recommended for treatment of carcinoma of the upper third of the esophagus, which is still treated by irradiation. None of the patients were lost to followup, and all patients are either still in followup or have died.
