Abstract
The insulin and transferrin receptors of the PA-1 and GR2H6 cell lines were characterized respectively. The optimum pH for the binding of PA-1 cell is 7.0 with insulin and with transforrin is 7.5∼8.0. Seatchard plot and Hill plot analyses show respectively the receptor number of 2.97 × 106/cell and 6.21 × 107/cell for insulin receptors of PA-1 and GR2H6 with kD of 4.16 × 10-7M and 7.57 × 10-7M, Hill coefficient of 0.78 and 0.82, showing a negative cooperativity; transferrin receptors of PA-1 and GR2H6 were found to have respectively receptor number of 1.25 × 105/cell and 1.40 × 105/cell, with kD of 1.38 × 10-9M and 1.66 × 10-8M. The Hill coefficient was 1.04 and 0.98, almost no different from 1, so transferrin receptors showed no cooperativity.
