Abstract
On the recertification examination, there are virtually no histology slides to interpret, but one does need to be able to interpret imaging studies. Certain lesions have a very characteristic appearance. These lesions include: non-ossifying fibroma, osteochondroma, enchondroma, stress fracture, Paget’s disease, fibrous dysplasia, bone infarct, bone island, heterotopic ossification, unicameral bone cyst, and osteoid osteoma.
