Abstract

The nonoperative dilatation of a ureteropelvic junction obstruction using a double-lumen balloon dilation catheter is described. A ureteropelvic junction obstruction was dilated successfully in a 20-year-old woman who had undergone an unsuccessful dismembered pyeloplasty. A review of the literature has not revealed a previous description of this approach.
