Abstract
China faces one of the most significant challenges due to the high prevalence of stroke and the increased aging population. As a result, the exponential growth of rehabilitation care has been demanded to meet this need. For the past decade, in conjunction with improving the accessibility to conventional therapy, the implementation of robotics therapy in rehabilitation care has attracted significant attention in research and technology development nationwide. The authors provide deep insights into the current status of neurorehabilitation in China and report on upper- and lower-limb robotics development and their clinical application in neurorehabilitation.
