Abstract
Rational drug design by numerical simulation is considered. The application of a tightly coupled experimental and theoretical effort in drug development, which enables a greatly enhanced drug discovery effort in oncology and AIDS drug development, is urged. A specific example of this approach is presented. It deals with the formation of a stable DNA triple-helix complex targeted to cancer and AIDS therapy.
