Abstract

This case study is written to acquaint the reader with the etiology, incidence, pathology, clinical course, and treatment of a variation of the malignant fibrous histiocytoma. In review of the literature, only three cases of malignant fibrous histiocytoma (myxoid variant) were found in the foot. The authors want to impress on the reader the necessity of the pathologic study of any lesion in the foot regardless of its gross appearance.
