Abstract

We evaluated the functional support currently existing University of Washington clinical systems provide to execute approximate pharmacogenomic decision support rules. In addition, we evaluated proposed clinical decision support system user interface features with use scenarios to provide contextual information. Based on results from these evaluations, we derived a conceptual model for incorporating pharmacogenomic knowledge into the electronic health record that supports the functional and user interface requirements for pharmacogenomic clinical decision support.
