Abstract

Obtaining venous access for pacemaker or defibrillator implantation can be complicated by vascular injury and/or pneumothorax. In the current case presentation, we describe a pneumothorax related to venous access that occurred due to acute, intraprocedural occlusion of the ipsilateral axillary and subclavian vein.
