Abstract

Acute idiopathic maculopathy is a rare inflammatory disease first described in 1991, generally affecting young people after a viral illness, and classically with coxsackievirus. It typically features central exudation with rapid recovery in vision. Recent advancements in multimodal imaging, including optical coherence tomography and OCT angiography (OCTA), have aided in its characterization and the capability of diagnosing and monitoring this disease entity.
