Abstract
Mössbauer studies on two distinct microstructural phases produced in the same batch of melt-spun Fe60Al2 8B12 reveal distinctly different spectra and hyperfine field distributions. One phase is essentially an amorphous ferromagnet, whereas the other contains a large paramagnetic component together with amorphous ferromagnetic material.
